The Practical Budget Auditing Training Course has been created to give professional individuals an in-depth practical perspective on how budgets are prepared and implemented, monitored and reviewed, and audited in Today’s Workplace Environment. The focus of this training course is to increase a professional’s ability to accurately and confidently conduct an audit of the Budget and also to bridge the gap between a theoretical understanding of a Budget Audit to practical application of how Budget Audits are conducted in Business Today.

Along with examining how Budgeting Frameworks are aligned to Business Objectives, Financial Controls, and Regulatory Expectations, the Course includes a number of common risk factors, errors, and inefficiencies most Ministries of Finance experience in their Budget Statutory Obligations. Through structured learning experiences, course participants gain an understanding of how Auditors assess Budget Assumptions, how they monitor Budget Variances, and how the resources are being used effectively and responsibly. This Programme is delivered by the Imperial Corporate Training Institute. It promotes applied learning, as well as Professional Relevance of Knowledge and Skills obtained by Course Participants. The course guides its participants through the entire Budget Audit Lifecycle. This includes:

1) Understanding methods of preparing Budgets

2) Obtaining an understanding of Budget Procedures

3) Preparing Auditor’s Findings Report Based on Budget Analysis and Procedures. There is integration of Budgeting Analysis with Audit Judgement.

This integration enables Course Participants to critically analyse Financial Data, conduct testing of Internal Controls and provide evidence-based Conclusions to assist in Decision-Making.
