The unplanned downtime, safety incidents, and unexpected “re-starts” incurred in high-value industrial businesses have a direct financial consequence, reputational risk, and operational disruption. A course that provides corporate professionals with information on the Planned Shutdown, Critical Activities, Isolation, Start up & Commissioning has been developed for professionals who are responsible for the management or supervision of Shutdowns and Start-Ups for Power and Utility Operations. The main focus of the course is on structured execution of Shutdowns, control of Critical Activities, maintenance of Equipment Isolation Integrity, and having a Disciplinary Start Up Process within an Environmentally Complex Environment. The course places the greatest emphasis on the coordination of Maintenance, Operations and Utility Maintenance teams to allow for a smooth transition from Normal Operating Condition to Shutdown, and then back to Full Production.

This course is delivered by the Imperial Corporate Training Institute and is reflective of the actual working practices found in Corporations today. This course combines plant/corporate Maintenance Shutdown Planning with Operational Safety Governance, Commissioning Readiness, and Stakeholder Alignment, to form a Single Comprehensive Framework for a company’s asset management. This course is designed to eliminate the time-consuming theoretical instruction that may not be applicable to most companies today, while simultaneously providing a direct correlation between the real-life challenges faced by corporations in the management of their assets and the regulatory requirements placed on companies.
