The Imperial Corporate Training Institute is offering a Professional Course on Petrophysical Properties and Well Log Modeling. This is a complete course for people who want to learn how to interpret subsurface data, perform petrophysical analysis, and make decisions while operating a well offshore. This oil and gas training course teaches how to combine the measurements of rock and fluid properties with advanced Well Log Modelling Techniques. That combination allows you to evaluate formations accurately and model reservoirs’ geological behaviour correctly in offshore conditions.

In this course, you will learn how to understand and apply the core concepts of Petrophysics with use of technologically advanced Well Logs to represent the characteristics of Hydrocarbon-bearing formations in the field. Course materials include the principles of: Well Log Data Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assessment (QA), and the consistent modelling of Petrophysical Properties of the two types of Well Logs, and how they affect drilling and production decisions regarding management of Reservoirs. Upon completion of this course, participants will possess the skills necessary to successfully interpret complex Log Data Sets to help reduce uncertainties in the Subsurface and assist in the development and Operation of an Offshore Field.

Objectives

Attendees will be able to:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the basic and advanced petrophysical characteristics utilized in offshore oil and gas developments.
  • Acquire professional skills in interpreting logs and developing models.
  • Enhance skills to assist with formation evaluations for hydrocarbon identification and quantification.
  • Utilize petrophysical properties in development of accurate reservoir models.
  • Understand the connection between petrophysical analysis and operations of offshore facilities.
  • Provide greater support for making informed decisions regarding drilling, completion, and production.
  • Further develop the capability to bring together geologic, petrophysical and reservoir information.
  • Interpret log responses in complicated lithological and offshore deposits.
  • Utilize Quality Control processes on well log populations.
  • Support the Development Plan and Management Strategies for Oil and Gas Reservoirs.
