The training course at the Imperial Corporate Training Institute is to teach the student a thorough knowledge of how marine incidents are investigated, analyzed, documented, and assessed as per International Maritime and Oil and Gas regulations. This course is based upon Systematic Incident Investigation, Evidence Collection, Root Cause Analysis and Preparing an Accurate Investigation Report which provides a basis for future safety improvements and for compliance with International regulations. The student will understand how marine accidents affect operational performance, Safety Culture and Legal Accountability of offshore, Ports and Marine Transport Vessels.
The Training Course will also assist the Student to have a thorough understanding of how Safety Audits are incorporated into Marine Accidents Investigations to improve Compliance Across Marine Vessels, Offshore Installations, Terminals and Marine Support Operations. Combining Investigation Techniques and Safety Audit Methodologies, the student will be trained to identify Systematic Failures, determine Compliance Gaps, and make Recommendations for Corrective Action that are based upon International Standards such as: IMO Codes, ISM and Oil & Gas Best Practices. Ultimately, the Course Ensures that the Student will have the Knowledge, Skills and Competencies to Manage the Investigation and Reporting Process, through Regulatory, Legal And Organisational Scrutiny With Confidence.
