With the LNG Plant Operator Competency and Process Operations Training Course provided by Imperial Corporate Training Institute, we aim to provide a comprehensive professional training programme that develops the technical, operational, and safety competencies required for the effective operation of modern LNG facilities; specifically, for the successful completion of the entire LNG value chain at the plant site, including, but not limited to, feed gas (upstream) handling, liquefaction, storage, loading and export. The focus of this training programme is to provide participants with a thorough understanding of LNG Plant Systems and operational logic, process control practices that will allow for the low environmental impact of LNG facilities, as well as the means for sustaining and improving the operational performance of LNG Plants.

Through the use of a structured and hands-on type of learning, this programme is designed to include examples of actual LNG Facility operations, troubleshooting of LNG facility operational processes and compliance with internationally recognised LNG Operational Standards. Participants will receive knowledge on cryogenic systems, LNG Process Equipment and Liquefaction Technologies, while developing a strong Safety Mindset aligned with current industry best practices. This programme has been designed to prepare Operators, Technicians and Engineers for performing their daily functions in a safe, reliable and optimised manner.

Objectives

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize All Aspects of Interfaces of LNG production and process operations.
  • Learn operational methods of liquefaction and gas treatment systems.
  • Provide and manage cryogenic systems safely, efficiently and courteously.
  • Identify LNG plantation equipment and outline their operating functions.
  • Use normal, start-up, shut down, and emergency procedures when providing LNG services.
  • Understand and utilise process flow diagrams (PFD’s) and piping and instrumentation flow diagrams (P&ID’s).
  • Control and regulate LNG process parameters in order to remain within established operating parameters.
  • Evaluate hardware and software operational risks and identify, minimize, mitigate and avoid hard and soft redundancies.
  • React promptly to process upsets and other conditions causing an abnormal operational parameter.
  • Increase operator competency per regulatory and professional requirements.
