The Deepwater Drilling Riser and Flowline Engineering Compliance Audit Training Course provided by Imperial Corporate Training Institute is a unique programme designed to meet the many engineering, operational and compliance issues associated with deepwater drilling systems. As the offshore industry progresses into increasingly deep waters and harsher conditions, it is critical that the integrity and compliance of deepwater drilling risers and subsea flowlines is assured for both operational safety, and to ensure the reliability of the asset for continued regulatory approval. The course has been developed to impart knowledge of deepwater drilling riser and umbilical systems along with developing practical skills in the audits of these systems using an internationally recognised engineering standardised approach.

The course will focus on the life cycle of deepwater drilling risers and umbilicals, from the conceptual design stage through to material selection, installation, operational activities, inspections and, ultimately, decommissioning. The course emphasises the importance of riser integrity, flowline assessment and umbilical integrity to provide participants with the skills to identify compliance gaps and assess structural and functional risks of riser systems and flowlines, thereby supporting offshore developments and safe operational efficiency. By combining Engineering principles with auditing, this course trains participants on performing compliance audits that increase safety; decrease operational risk and support the sustainable development of offshore resources.

Objectives

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • From an Engineering and Regulatory Compliance Perspective, A full understanding of Deepwater Drilling Riser & Flowline Systems
